Hiking Diamond Head is an absolute must do when visiting Honolulu. It is is an exciting hike full of beautiful views and interesting history. As you start the hike, you’ll follow a trail that winds its way up the side of an ancient volcanic crater! Along the way, you’ll will be able to see so many unique and beautiful sites, each with a story to tell. It is about 1.6 miles round trip, so it is completely doable for all ages and fitness levels, but is also an amazing work out that will burn off all of those musubi calories!
One of the coolest parts of the hike is when you reach the top of Diamond Head. The top of Diamond Head offers panoramic views of the of city Honolulu, as well as the breath taking oceans views that are hard to beat. This is an amazing spot for taking family pictures or taking those new portraits that you’ve been wanting to take. Make a post card out of it!
As you make your way back down the trail you will, see so many interesting landscapes and viewpoints. You will be able be to explore old military bunkers and tunnels that date back to World War II, learning about so many mind blowing facts that go way back in time. Whether you’re looking for a great workout, an experience in nature, an exploration into the history of WW2, or just looking for some outdoor fun, hiking Diamond Head is an experience you will love!

Guests participating in any And You Creations tours can continue to use our Turtle Trolley service FREE of charge. Guests who are not participating in our tours but would like to use the trolley will receive a free one-day trolley ticket.
