A hula show is a traditional Hawaiian performance that exhibits the art of hula dancing, which is a significant cultural practice in Hawaii. These dances are a from of storytelling and are usually accompanied by chanting (oli) and music usually performed with instruments like the ukulele, guitar, and drums. During a hula show, dancers wear traditional clothing such as grass skirts and leis, perform various hula dances that convey stories , legends, and themes that reveal Hawaiian history and culture. These performances are not only extremely entertaining, but are extremely important for preserving and sharing Hawaiian traditions and heritage. The Hula shows are offered every single day at the Ala Moana Center and are completely free of charge! This is just one of the many things that you can experience on our trolley. This trolley is also used to transport our guests to the turtle snorkeling tours that we offer! Our turtle snorkeling tours run every single day and leave out of Kewalo Harbor. You will set out on a double decker boat in which you will see amazing sea life including turtles, various fish, and the possibility of seeing spinner dolphins or humpback whales in the winter!
