The Hawaii Christmas Trolley is one of the best ways to enjoy Honolulu City Lights from Waikiki during the holiday season.

Unfortunately, we do not offer free parking. Guests driving to Waikiki to join our Christmas Trolley will need to arrange their own parking.

During the holiday season, parking in Waikiki can be a bit tricky due to increased demand. While we are unable to provide parking validation, there are many convenient paid parking options nearby. We recommend planning ahead to make your visit as smooth and enjoyable as possible.

The tour lasts approximately 3 hours, from pickup to drop-off. After taking photos at a Waikiki photo station, enjoy a trolley ride of about 20 minutes to Thomas Square, where you’ll have 1 hour to explore the Christmas displays at your own pace. Next, the trolley takes you to Honolulu Hale for about 1 hour of free exploration before returning to Waikiki for the tour’s conclusion.

Children of all ages, including infants, are welcome to join. When riding the trolley, please ensure that small children remain seated with their guardians at all times. Additionally, due to limited space on the trolley, there may not be room for strollers during busy periods. If you need to bring a stroller, please notify us in advance.

Seats on the trolley are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Since it’s open-air, the view from any seat is quite similar, but we recommend boarding a little before the tour departure time to secure your spot.

The restroom is available at the Christmas Photo Station in Waikiki and at Honolulu Hale during the Christmas event

The walking distance from Thomas Square to Honolulu Hale is about 20 minutes, so we do not recommend it. If you choose to walk, please note that it will be at your own risk. If you need a ride back to Waikiki from Honolulu Hale, please check the departure times for the first and second trolleys and meet at the designated pickup location. (*Guests on the first departure may ride only the first schedule, and those on the second may ride only the second.)

Unfortunately, our trolley is not wheelchair accessible.

Yes! Holiday treats will be provided for guests upon check in at Treasures and You to start your Honolulu City Lights. Additionally, if you’d like to purchase more food, a variety of food vendors will be available at Honolulu Hale from 6pm to 9pm offering local bites and holiday favorites.
